• Binary compatible between different OS platforms. Copy SharkSQL database from source to target server, make OS specific config changes on target server and run application

• True distributed DB engine with embedded two-phase commit (2PC) provides distributed database consistency. No complex external utilities or tools, no more "eventual" data consistency, no "additional" license requirements

• Supports wire protocols for MariaDB, MySQL, Connectors & Interfaces. This enables SharkSQL and services to function as drop-in replacements for MariaDB, MySQL databases allowing existing clients, drivers, and BI tools to connect with few modifications

• Very high performance (out of the box) compared to other commercial databases. Reduces need for complex tuning processes of internal DB parameters

• Security features available that far exceed SQL standards and many other databases - page and record encryption, read only partitions, TCP/IP packet based network encryption (encryption key changes whenever a TCP/IP data packet is sent/received), database admin can not modify content of audit logs
